Carrs have changed the fleet to electric!

 

Carrs weld components for battery cell projects, for all-electric vehicles and energy recovery systems.

Using lasers to weld copper and aluminium, we weld interconnections to lithium ion cells with only a small increase in temperature. Keeping the cell under 85 degrees C is crucial if the battery is to maintain its working life and performance.

We were so impressed with the technology that we have decided to change our fleet to fully electric and leased our own– 1 Renault Zoe and 2 Mini Cooper Electrics.

Carrs use the new vehicle’s to deliver to customers and collect materials, as it is ideal for light loads and very economical to run!
